Central server farm goes live

Progress on the central services and sample school ICT implementations is well under way, and in December 2007 Ramesys completed the implementation of the Central Server Farm. This provides services such as email, data back-up, anti-virus protection, internet and email filtering, a portal, web hosting and remote management and monitoring to support the ICT management of a school's networks and local ICT services.

The central services, including the new web-based email system, are now available for all of the BSF schools to start using in advance of their own local BSF ICT implementations. Ramesys will be writing to each school shortly to explain the options now available.
