Existing school ICT staff- what will happen next?

It is natural that existing school-based ICT technical staff will feel very concerned. Often they have invested a lot of time and effort in creating teams, plans, systems, procedures, and supplier relationships and they could feel very protective of them.

Although this is to be expected, the funding in the BSF programme is an unrivalled opportunity to reconsider a school's ICT development strategy – to build on successes.

The transferred Network Managers and ICT Technicians will be part of the Ramesys team and able to access specialist advice and support whenever they need it, as well as being able to share their expertise and experience across more than one school.

They will be trained and skills updated so they will be able to play a key role in the development of the ICT strategy for their school. Ramesys representatives have already held several meetings with the relevant schools and union representatives and discussed the TUPE arrangements. All transferred members of staff will be inducted by Ramesys in advance of their TUPE, with an individual training and support package being developed.
